Our Story

A group of people began meeting in March 2008 and for several weeks held home Bible studies and fellowships. The group had been together for a number of years previously and decided that they had a calling and mission to fulfill. After meeting for several weeks, they called Mark and Tammie Little to be their pastors. After the call, Pastor Little felt as if the Lord gave clear cut direction to him in a dream concerning the church’s name and purpose. In it, the name “Transformation Church” came into being with the call being that of cooperating and uniting with the Body of Christ in St. Augustine to bring about a revival and transformation in this community.
Having held its first service on May 4, 2008, Transformation Church joined the Church of God (Cleveland, Tennessee) on October 20, 2013. This was a “homecoming” for Pastor Little, who was raised in this denomination as a “preacher’s kid.” The pastor was ordained on March 25, 2014, and became an ordained bishop on June 12, 2014. Joining the Church of God has been a great blessing for Transformation Church as the church has benefited from camp meetings, youth camps, a centralized government, and discipleship training conferences, just to mention a few things.
In October 2020, Pastor Mark and Tammie Little retired from the church, and moved to Cleveland, Tennessee, in order to be closer to family. Shortly thereafter, the church called Pastor Jacob Newton, and his wife Stephanie, to serve as pastors of the church. On November 8, 2020, the Newtons held their first service as pastors of the Transformation Church of God. Since then, the church has grown numerically, financially, and spiritually.

After faithfully serving at Transformation Church of God, Pastor Jacob Newton and his wife, Stephanie, accepted the call to go serve another church. And on May 21st, 2023, Pastor Edwin Richiez, and his wife, Veronica, were appointed as the new pastors of Transformation Church of God.
